Edward J. Field
Edward J. Field, 64, of Marinette passed away on Saturday, Feb. 8 at his home.
Born Feb. 25, 1949, to the late Edward and Bernice (Ernst) Field in Blue Island, Ill., he attended Fenger High School in Chicago. He worked for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad as Switchman, Conductor and then was promoted to Yard Master. After retiring, he moved to Marinette to be closer to family and worked at the Marinette Welcome Center for the past four years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and working crossword puzzles.
He is survived by two sons, Paul Field and Mike Rich, of Marinette; two daughters, Angela Willis, of Marinette and Dana Rich, of Sarasota, Fla.; two brothers, Robert and Lawrence; six sisters, Patricia Barr, Sandra Field, Juanita Lund, Elizabeth Herrera, Estelle Mercier and Kathleen Field and five grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Ronald; a sister, Judith and his wife, Nancy.
Friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 3 p.m. until time of funeral services at 5 p.m. with Deacon Jerome Thetreau officiating.
