Mary Mert C. Livermore, 63, of Marinette passed away Monday, Feb. 10 at home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Nov. 3, 1950, to the late George and Christine (Meixensperger) Chaudoir in Escanaba, she graduated from Holy Name High School in 1968. On April 24, 1971, she married Dennis Livermore in Escanaba. She was a homemaker until moving to Marinette in 1988 when she worked at Haase Shoes and then Westlund Bus Lines for many years. In 1994, she began working at the Peshtigo Post office where she stayed for 17 years and enjoyed the people she worked with and only retired due to her illness.
She enjoyed reading, camping, traveling, golfing, ATV-ing, knitting, bird watching, and casinos. She was a member of Holy Family Church.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dennis; a son, Brian Livermore, of Marinette; a daughter, Paula (Tony) Crowley, of Green Bay; a brother, Mike (Gayle) Chaudoir, of Escanaba; a sister, Pat (Rich) Salo, of Grand Rapids, Mi.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer; a sister, Carole Nelson and a nephew, Justin.
Friends may call at the Thielen Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 14 from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph Church at 5 p.m. with Rev. Robert Karuhn officiating. A memorial fund has been established.
