Ethyle R. Bloch
Ethyle R. Bloch, 93, of Peshtigo, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15 at her home.
Born June 1, 1920 in Des Moines, Ia., to Clarence and Ruth (Jaeger) Strike, she graduated from the UW-Madison with a Bachelors Degree in Art. She moved to Pearl Harbor, Ha. where she worked as a civilian employee of the United States military. After the outbreak of World War II, she returned to the mainland and married William Bloch of Peshtigo in July of 1942. They spent most of their life in Fort Wayne, Ind. until moving to Peshtigo in 2005. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Marinette.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela (Mike) Malicoat, of rural Peshtigo; a son, Willson Bloch, of Colorado; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Andrew; three sisters and a half-brother.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
