Donald G. Rhude, 80, of Marinette, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12 at Rennes Health Center-East.
Born Nov. 14, 1933, to the late John and Alice (Sorenson) Rhude in Elk Mound, he graduated from Elk Mound High School and joined the National Guard. On Feb. 21, 1953, he married Yvonne Stokes in Elk Mound. He worked at Uni Royal Tire Company and in 1974 moved to Marinette to work with his brother at Sentinel Structures. He then worked in construction and owned and operated Viking Builders for 20 years, building several beautiful homes in the area. He loved his dogs and after retiring, they moved to Eau Claire so he could enjoy hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; two daughters, Jane (Jan) DeGayner, of Marinette and Cynthia (Mike) Mildbrand, of Alaska; a brother, Maurice (Margaret) Rhude, of Marinette; a sister, Evelyn Krigsvold, of Eau Claire; a grandson and a great-grandson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nona.
