Howard J. Skarban
Howard J. Skarban, 70, of Coleman, passed away at his home with family by his side on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Born on the family farm in Coleman April 9, 1943, to the late George and Wilma (Ziesmer) Skarban, he married Patricia Hornak on July 11, 1964 in Milwaukee. While there, he was a cement finisher, a gas station attendant and plowed snow. In 1971 the family moved to Coleman and owned and operated Skarban Mobil for 15 years until his retirement. He loved fishing and ice fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Pat; a son, John (Kim) Skarban, Town of Spruce; four grandchildren; three brothers, Otto (Kathy) Skarban, Milwaukee; George (Darlene) Skarban, Oconto and Norbert (Darlene) Skarban, Suring; two sisters, Georgeann Effenberger, Oconto Falls and Irene Skarban, Darboy.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Trissa Waschbish.
Friends may call at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Father Celestine Byekwaso will officiate with Interment at the Town of Brazeau Cemetery.
