Beatrice A. Dittrich
Beatrice A. Dittrich of Menominee passed away Sunday, Feb. 23 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
Born to the late Norman Sr. and Katherine (Beno) Francis in Pembine, she graduated from Menominee High School in 1953. On May 1, 1954, she married Roger Dittrich in Hyde, Mi. and he preceded her in death in 1998. She worked as a custodian and then a cook at Menominee High School and later worked as a cook for Menominee County Jail, retiring a few years ago.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards, pinochle and scrabble with her friends at Hay Creek. She loved spending time spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Rick (Lu) Dittrich, of Marinette and Roger Rocky (Chris) Dittrich, of Menominee; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanette (Gerald) Meyers, of Menominee; two brothers, Dennis (Linda) Francis, of Amberg and Norman Butch Jr. (Jane) Francis, of Rhinelander; a special friend, Mary Bray, of Menominee; many nieces; nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband, Roger Sr., she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Nortch and Joanne Saddler.
Friends may call at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 3:30 p.m. until time of funeral services at 5:30 p.m., with Pastor Archer Leupp officiating. Burial will be in Birch Creek Cemetery.
