Richard Anthony Sonntag, 71, passed away at his home in San Antonio, Tx. on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
Born Aug. 22, 1942 in Menominee, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1960 and was a member of the Northernaires from 1956 to 1960. He was an original Yooper and known as "Rick Anthony" for WAGN Radio. He settled in San Antonio and retired from Fort Sam Houston as the voice of the Army Medical Center. His contributions to his church and family will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Clelia "CB" Sonntag; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Michael Brown; two grandsons; an aunt, Dorothy Linczeski; six cousins and brothers-in-law, Coe, Clair and Phil Branch and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Agnes Sonntag and many aunts and uncles.
A Memorial Service was held at Coker United Methodist Church, San Antonio, Tx., on Friday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m.
