Kathryn (Rupar) Fiedorowicz, 93, of Pound passed away at Rennes Health Center-West on Monday, March 10.
Born to Frank and Mary Rupar April 21, 1920 in Crivitz, she was raised in Beaver and attended a one room rural school in the Crivitz area. In 1937 she went to Chicago where she married Walter Fiedorowicz on Sept. 9, 1939. The couple returned to Pound in 1946 where they lived and ran a small farm. She worked as a waitress and was employed by the Crivitz Ski Factory for seven years. In 1971 she retired from the ski factory and her husband died on June 11, 1978. She spent 12 winters in Florida and worked at Christophers Restaurant in Coleman until she was 80. A member of the St. Annes Catholic Church, Coleman, she was a very energetic and outgoing person living her life to the fullest.
She is survived by a daughter and two sons, Walter (Joann), of North Prairie, Darlene (Thomas) Hartman, of Dubuque, Ia., Denny (Myra), of Pound; a daughter-in-law, Delores; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; a son, Phillip; six brothers and three sisters.
Friends and relatives may call at St. Annes Catholic Church, Coleman on Wednesday, March 19 from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Fr. Celestine Byekwaso will officiate with burial in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Crivitz. Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman is assisting the family.
