Genevieve M. Gen Kubiak, 90, of Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, March 4.
Born Jan. 28, 1924, in Norway, Wi., to George and Pauline (Kortendick) Mehring, she worked for the Wausaukee School District as a special education teachers aide.
She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, sewing, baking, crocheting, the casino and getting a good bargain. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and often said the rosary.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Mike (Sally) Kubiak, Suamico, Karen Kubiak and Sandy (George) Berdine, both of Milwaukee, Ron Kubiak (special friend, Mary), Oconto, Richard Kubiak, Colorado, Sue Kubiak, New Orleans, La. and Jim and Tammy Kubiak, Stiles; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Busch, Menomonee Falls; nieces; nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Kenneth, and Chester Mehring and a baby sister, Joyce.
Friends called at Blaney Funeral Home, Green Bay from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, with Sr. Toni Jendrasiak SSND officiating. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
