Robert C. Seymour, 90, of Peshtigo, passed away Tuesday, March 11.
Born Feb. 20, 1924, to the late Earl P. and Rena (Pruden) Seymour, he graduated from Marinette High School in 1943. He then served in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946 in the India/China/Burma theatre as a medic. After service, he returned to Peshtigo and married Olive V. He served on the Marinette School Board, Grover-Porterfield (Harmony) Fire Department and was a member of the Harmony United Methodist Church where he was lay leader for many years. The highlight of his day was seeing his sons every morning and getting his Wall Street Journal. He loved family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Olive; two sons, Mark (Esther) and Tom (Jill), all of Peshtigo; seven grandchildren; a sister, Grace Phillips; a brother, Charles; a brother-in-law, Michael (Elaine) Kleinprintz and a sister-in-law, Della Rose Seymour.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Earl Jr. and Ervin; a sister-in-law, Irene Seymour and a brother-in-law, Delbert Phillips.
As per his wishes, private family services will be held. Pastor Kevin Dembinski and Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home are assisting the family. Donations are appreciated to the Emergency Rescue Squad or a charity of ones choice in his memory.
