Dolores T. Pataconi
Dolores "DeeDee" T. Pataconi, 87, of Niagara, passed away Monday, March 17 at Maryhill Manor in Niagara.
Born Feb. 15, 1927, in Niagara, the daughter of the late William and Viola (Guerin) DuBord, she graduated from Niagara High School in 1946, she had a strong faith and was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God Church. She married Joseph Pataconi on Sept. 9, 1950, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Niagara. The couple celebrated 63 years of marriage last year. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2013.
She was a wonderful baker and made beautiful wedding cakes. She enjoyed crocheting, fancy work and reading.
She is survived by three children, Janell (James) Casey, of Canby, Ore., Dwight (Judy) Pataconi, of San Diego and Christella (Phil) Couch, of Marathon, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger, Robert and Dwight DuBord and a sister, Arlene Enoch.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 22 from 10 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at Maranatha Assembly of God Church, with Rev. David Wilton officiating. Erickson Rochon and Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain is assisting the family with arrangements.
