Manning Bud Hutson, 90, of Athelstane, passed away Monday, March 24 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Feb.1, 1924, to Nevalene and John Manning Hutson in Mokena, Ill., he served in World War II as a Corporal in the 2nd Marine Division in the Pacific Campaign. He married Marion Gertrude Leonhardt Feb. 10, 1945 and they were married for 69 years.
After 35 years with Caterpillar Tractor Company in Joliet, Ill., the couple retired to Crivitz 1981, where he served on the Crivitz Fire Department as a fire fighter and assistant chief. He also started the first auxiliary police department for the Marinette County Sheriffs Department and was a member of the Tri County Masonic Lodge 218. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marion; his children, Gregory (Cindy), Deborah Trumpus (John), Douglas (Terri), Geoffrey (Karen) and Robin (Janet); 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Lois Yunker.
Friends may call at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz on Friday, March 28 from 11 a.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 1 p.m.
