Dorothy J. Lindner
Dorothy J. Luedeman-Lindner, 85, of Gillett, passed away April 7.
Born June 5, 1928 in Fairchild, to Thaddeus and Anna Flick, she married Robert Luedeman on Aug. 13, 1949. They lived in Gillett and spent their winters in Florida until her husband died on April 4, 1998. While living in Florida, she met and married Andrew Lindner on Oct. 26, 2001. They lived in Florida until he preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 2009. She continued to live in Florida until poor health forced her to return to Wisconsin in 2010, where she lived at the Cottages in Shawano. She worked in the automobile industry for 40 years until her retirement on Dec. 14, 1990.
She was very active in bowling, shuffleboard, golfing, and line dancing and enjoyed rosemauling, traveling, bingo and playing cards with friends and family. A member of the womens auxiliary for 50 years, she was also a member of the St. Johns Catholic Altar Society.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Jack) Benzinger, Green Bay and Beth (Tim) Christensen, Gillett; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five step-children, Julie (Lewis) Klupacs and Susan (Mike) Wilson, both of Florida; Andrew (Peggy) Lindner, Norbert (Kathy) Lindner and Jim (Laura) Lindner, all of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Louise Luisier, Oconto Falls and Margaret Reuter, California; two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thaddeus and Anna; a son Philip; brothers-in-law, Leo Luisier and George Reuter and a niece, Carol Ann Reuter.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Gillett. Fr. Dean Dombroski will officiate with interment in St. Johns Catholic Cemetery. Kuehl Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
