THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Lydia Squier, 96, of Port Washington passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Evelyn 's Adult Family Care. She was a resident there for the past six years.
Lydia was born in Chicago in 1918 to John and Anna Sachs. She moved to the Marinette area with her family at an early age and resided there for most of her life. She married Keith Squier, who preceded her in death in 1996. The couple raised two children.
Lydia was an accomplished sewer and baker in her younger years. She enjoyed playing cards, and just spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved being with her grand children and great-grand children.
Lydia is survived by her son Dale, (Joan) of Kewaskum, and daughter Kay, (John) Foulks of Port Washington; grandchildren, great-grand children, one brother-In-Law, Royce (Sue) Squier, Menominee, Michigan, many nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lydia was also preceded in death by one grandson, and six siblings.
Private Memorial Services for the family are being planned. Lydia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
