THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Louis Bergles, 86, of Peshtigo, formerly of Wausaukee, passed away on Friday, April 11 at Rennes Health Center-East.
Born in Wausaukee on Aug. 4, 1927, son of Anton and Frances (Jersin) Bergles, he served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He enjoyed playing cards and hunting.
He is survived by his two sisters, Sophie (Edward) Caprata, of Chicago and Rose Bergles of Brookfield, Ill. and a brother, William Bergles of Niles, Ill.;
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony and Frank and two sisters, Mary and Ann.
Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 17 until time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Messar Roubal Funeral Home, Wausaukee, with Pastor Paul Hueter officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in May. Full military honors will be provided by the Wausaukee American Legion Post #150. Messar-Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
