Sharon F. McPherson, 71, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Saturday, April 19 at home.
Born April 14, 1943, to Frank and Faye (Pettey) Szymik in Menominee, Mi., she graduated from Menominee High School in 1961. On Sept. 19, 1964, she married Ronald Butch McPherson at First Presbyterian Church in Menominee. He preceded her in death on May 3, 2009. She worked as a clerk at the Red Owl and later as an Administrative Assistant for over 20 years at Northern Coatings and Chemical.
A member of First Presbyterian Church and the Woman's club, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She liked cleaning her home, casino trips, especially with her husband to Las Vegas and being a hunters widow.
She is survived by two sons, Mark McPherson, of Menominee, Mi. and Scott (Christine) McPherson, of DePere; a daughter, Christina (Steve) Reek, of Marinette; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two brothers, Steven and William Szymik.
In addition to her parents and husband, Butch, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy.
Friends may call at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 23 from 4 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
