Rose Elizabeth (Brendemihl) Nelson, 100, of Menominee passed away on Thursday morning, April 24 at Menominee Care Center with her family present.
Born in Ingallston Township on April 1, 1914, to Frank and Louise (Kapell) Brendemihl, she married Gunnard Nelson on Aug. 31, 1941 at her home in Ingallston Township. He preceded her in death Oct. 4, 1967. She worked as a housekeeper in Blue Island and Winnetka, Ill. and later moved to Menominee and worked as a housekeeper until her marriage.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, and her daily tea times with her neighbor and friend, Mary. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Menominee since 1949.
Survivors include a son, Ronald (Kathleen) Nelson and a brother, Harry Brendemihl, both of Menominee, Mi. and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Friends called at Anderson Kell Funeral Home, Menominee, Mi. on Tuesday, April 29 from 9 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Lee Goodwin officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.
