Dolores E. Ryan, 85, of Carney, Mi., passed away Friday, April 25 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers, Mi.
Born June 4, 1928 in Niagara, to Alfred and Anna (Hendricksen) Sorensen, she married Dennis Dan Ryan in Menominee, Mi., on Aug. 27, 1949 and he preceded her in death on May 9, 2008.
She was a homemaker and worked part time at McCrory's in Menominee for many years. She enjoyed her cats, watching deer and being in the outdoors, but most of all, she loved her grandchildren and great-grandson. She was a member of the Carney Free Church and American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Rocky (Sherry), of Carney, Mi. and Randy, of Peshtigo; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Donald Sorenson; two sisters, Anne Kroening and Gloria Naser; a brother-in-law, Tom Cooper and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Sorensen and Nancy LaFond.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and George and a baby sister, Eleanor.
Family and friends called at the Carney Free Church on Tuesday, April 29, after 10 a.m. until time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Gary Page officiated with burial in the Carney Free Church Cemetery. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
