Daryl Dennis Johnson, 81, of Daggett, Mi., passed away on Wednesday, May 21 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers.
Born Oct. 15, 1932 in St. Paul, Mn., to Dennis and Marie (Krause) Johnson, on Nov. 30, 1957 he married Karen Ruthke in Nebraska City, Ne. He graduated from Concordia College in St. Louis, Mo. with a B.A. and then received an M.B.A. from St. Cloud State in St. Cloud, Mn.
He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, following them in their sporting events, was an avid reader, was active in Alcoholics Anonymous and a member of the Daggett Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Karen, of Daggett, Mi.; daughters, Stephanie (Edward) Chartier, of Powers, Mi. and Deirdre (Kenneth) Linder, of Carney, MIi.; sons, Timothy (Hazel), of Stephenson, Mi., Matthias, of Carney, Mi., Olaf (Haimi), of Green Bay and Erik (Melissa), of Daggett, Mi; 16 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Gene (Carol) Johnson, of Vian, Ok.
He was preceded in death by three children, Theresa, Stephen and Nathaniel and three brothers, Ronald, Robert and Don.
Family and friends called at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Nadeau on Saturday, May 24 after 10 a.m. until time of Eulogy at 12:30 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass. Fr. Michael Vichich officiated with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Oakwood. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
