Marilyn A. Pokorski
Marilyn A. Pokorski, 84, of Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday, May 20.
Born June 2, 1929 in Marinette, to John Emil and Elberta (La Fleur) Johnson, she attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Messmer High School in Milwaukee. She then graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Milwaukee. She married Walter Pokorski on April 19, 1952 there and he preceded her in death on July 14, 1974. She was a Registered Nurse at St. Michael Hospital in Milwaukee and St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay and retired from St. Mary's Medical Center Green Bay in the Family Birthing Center after more than 30 years of service.
She is survived by a son, Steven; a daughter, Judy; two grandsons; a great-grandson; a brother, Kenneth (Helen) Johnson; a sister, Phyllis Seefeldt; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Margaret; a brother, John Emil Johnson, Jr.; a brother-in-law, Gary Seefeldt and parents-in-law, Frank and Leila Pokorski.
As per her request there will be no visitation or service. Interment will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park. Lyndahl Funeral Home assisted the family.
