Josephine M. Schmidt
Josephine M. Schmidt, 93, formerly of Menominee, passed away Thursday, May 22 at Rennes Health Center-East.
Born March 19, 1921, to Charles and Rose (Kercher) Wery in Stephenson, she graduated from Stephenson High School and worked for Hayward Wakefield Co. as an inspector. On Aug. 21, 1948, she married Daniel W. Schmidt and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2001. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church.
He is survived by a son, Ron (Lisa) Schmidt, of Green Bay; a sister, Viola Chatlosh, of Menominee and two grandsons.
In addition to her husband, Dan, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Felix, Elmer, and Clarence and three sisters, Alice Baiel, Florence Beyer and Martha Cloakley.
Visitation was held at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 27 from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral services at 11 a.m. Deacon Steve Gretzinger presided with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
