Wayne E. Wagner, 76, of Suring, passed away Wednesday, May 21.
Born in Bridgewater, S.D. Oct. 13, 1937, to Claus and Anna Englebrecht Wagner, he married Sandy Schmude on March 11, 1961 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Oshkosh. The couple farmed and owned a Dry Cleaning Business near Berlin and he worked as an IBEW Industrial Electrician, retiring in 1999.
He enjoyed woodworking projects for his family in his shop and was a loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandy, of Suring; three children, Michelle (Eric) Nikolai, of St. Jacob, Ill., Scott (Tina) Wagner, of Appleton and Amy (Fritz) Heidenreich, of Green Bay; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman.
Visitation was held at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church in Suring on Saturday, May 24 from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jacob Gawlik officiating. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in his memory.
