Clara Susan White, 94, of Porterfield, passed away Thursday evening, May 22. The daughter of the late Gottleib and Augusta Schwittay was born Oct. 4, 1919 in the town of Brazeau. She married Orville White and he preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2003. She farmed with her husband in the Town of Grover for many years.
Surviving are two daughters-in-law; Janice and Colleen White, both of Porterfield; nieces and nephews; a special nephew, Harvey Schwittay of Pound, seven grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Orville, she was preceded in death by her parents; sons; Kenneth (Janice), Robert (Ginny), William (Colleen), and daughter, Catherine Susan; brothers; Adolph, Albert, Leo, and Elmer Schwittay, and a sister, Theresa.
Relatives and friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman from 11 a.m. on Friday, May 30th until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Rev. Mark Kostreva will officiate with burial in the Harmony Cemetery.
