27 Arrested by OWI Task Force
The Marinette County OWI Task Force was deployed twice in May, once in the Crivitz-Wausaukee area and once in the High Falls area. During the two deployments, the OWI Task Force made 62-traffic stops which resulted in 20 citations, two drug arrests, one warrant arrest, and four OWI arrests. One of those operating while intoxicated arrests was for a 10th offense.
The Marinette Count OWI Task Force plans at least two deployments in June, one around the Porterfield Country Music Festival and one around the Niagara Centennial Celebration. The task force is a joint effort between the City of Marinette Police Department and Marinette County Sheriffs Department.
