CBA Informed Chapman Is MCTA New Chairman
Crivitz--Updates on the Marinette County Tourism Alliance (MCTA), Easter Egg Hunt, 5/K Run/Walk and upgrade of the CBA website were among items of business when the Crivitz Business Association (CBA) met Wednesday, May 21, at Thrivent Financial with nine members in attendance.
The CBA was informed that John Guarisco has resigned as chairman of the Marinette County Tourism Alliance and that Elizabeth Chapman is the new chairperson.
It was reported that over 4,000 eggs were gathered during the Easter Egg Hunt conducted by CBA.
The Wolverine 5K Run/Walk organized by Ashley McKinnon and Amanda Popp will be held Saturday, June 7, starting at 8 a.m. at Crivitz High School. There are 26 sponsors and 50 runners to date.
The Run Into Crivitz Cash event will be held Friday through Sunday, June 6-8. A drawing will be held at the meeting on Wednesday, June 18, at 3:30 p.m. for prizes of $25 each. Businesses will offer sales, discounts and other promotions for shoppers during the event.
Jolene Hux will chair this years HarvestFest.
In other business, discussion was held on updating the CBA website. A committee will be formed to assemble and decide how the website should be changed and updated for submission to the organization.
It was reported the CBA will be sponsoring bouncy houses for the 4th of July parade. Thrivent Financial plans a float with donation being accepted of non-perishable and canned foods which can be placed on the float for the Bags Against Hunger.
The group was informed that the Lions Club Sports banquet will be held Thursday, June 26.
The next CBA meeting will be held Wednesday, June 18, at 8 a.m. at the office of Kevin J. Pepin, D.D.S., S.C. A meeting will also be held on July 16 in the Crivitz High School Board Room.
