Rose B. Dishaw, 91, of Iron River, Mi., passed away Tuesday, May 27 at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, Mi.
Born Aug. 18, 1922 in Loretto, Mi., to Pio and Catherine (Antonetti) Rometti, she attended the Iron River schools and married George Henry Dishaw on Sept. 7, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1976. Lifelong residents of the area, she was employed as a production worker at Coleman Products for 10 years, retiring in 1986. A member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, and St. Agnes Altar Society, she loved family traditions and was loved by her family.
She is survived by a son, Michael (Karla) Dishaw, of Eagle; a daughter, Pat (Mark) Zenko, of Niagara; a daughter-in-law, Diane Dishaw (Melvin Anderson), of Negaunee, Mi.; a brother, Rolland "Rollie" (Mildred) Rometti, of Iron River; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by a son, Henry; brothers, Herman, Silvio and Ernest Rometti and sisters, Ellen Treloar, Jenny Sartorelli, Emalinda Gasperini, and Esther Rodda.
Visitation was held Friday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River. Rev. Gregory Veneklase officiated with interment in Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul, Aaron, and Alex Dishaw, Matthew and T. J. Liebergen and Joey Weber.
