Village of Pound Plans Centennial June 27, 28
The Village of Pound will celebrate its centennial at the 11th annual Pound Fireman's Picnic & Car Show on Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28th. The line up includes a Little League tournament starting on Friday, June 27th at the Park at 5:45 pm along with the modified mower pulls at 7 pm and the Blues Brother Revue by Ron Vandenbush at 8 pm.
On Saturday will be the classic car show along Business 141 from 8 am-3 pm. There will be vendors, a bouncer for the kids, DJ music, food and fun. Space is still available for vendors at the car show. If interested contact Tricia at office 920-897-4307 or 906-290-2305. Space is limited.
A display of history, in celebration of the centennial, will be located in the Village Hall from 9 am-2 pm. Activities as the park on Saturday include the Little League tournament which starts at 7:45 am, followed by the tractor pulls at 11 am, 4 x 4 truck pulls at 4 pm, bouncers for the kids, Special Moments DJ 2-5 pm, live entertainment with the Legends Show 6-8 pm and Star Sixty-Nine 8:30 pm-12:30 am.
Then to celebrate 100 years at approximately 10 pm will be the best fireworks show in Wisconsin. Food and beverages will be available both days.
