Elizabeth A. Janczewski, 77, of Armstrong Creek, passed away on Friday, June 20, at AGI Healthcare Center in Crandon.
Born March 27, 1936 in Fence, to Edward and Katherine (Moller) Thomas, she graduated from Florence High School in 1954 and married Benedict Janczewski Nov. 27, 1954 in Armstrong Creek.
Besides raising her children, she was a caretaker, helping those in need, with her real love of people and socializing. She enjoyed baking, cooking, playing cards and Yatzee.
She is survived by her husband, Ben, of Armstrong Creek; children, Ben (Lisa), of New Concord, Oh., Kathy (Dale) Rein of Brampton, Mi., Frank (Natilie), Joe (Laura) and Bob (Christine), all of Armstrong Creek, Julie Janczewski, of Goodman, Annette (Greg) Peterson, of Quinnesec, Mi., Tom (Karen), of Carver, Mass. and Jeannette (Bob) Baffile, of Iron Mountain, Mi.; 25 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Sherman, of Iron Mountain, Mi. and Verna Moddie, of Armstrong Creek; two brothers, Pat (JoAnne) Thomas, of Armstrong Creek and Walter (Doris) Thomas, of Norway, Mi.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin daughters, Cheryl and Carol; a grandson, Barry; a brother, Bill and sisters, Martha, Marion, Ruth and Lorraine.
Visitation was held at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek at 9 a.m. until time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24. Monsignor Paul Koszarek officiated with burial in Pine Hill Cemetery in Armstrong Creek. Weber Hill Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
