SC Fire Auxiliary Finalize Picnic Plans
The Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary met Monday, July 14 in the Silver Cliff Town Hall with President Dee Farley presiding at the 9 a.m. meeting. Members approved donations of $250 each to the Christian Food Pantry in Townsend and Pastor Fred's Food Pantry in Amberg.
Much of the meeting was spent finalizing plans for the 37th annual Silver Cliff Fire and Rescue Auxiliary Picnic to be held on Aug. 9 at the Silver Cliff Memorial Picnic Grounds. Residents, both full and part time are asked to volunteer an hour or two to help in the booths the day of the picnic. If available to offer help, contact Farley at 715-757-3922.
Betty's Country Store will feature home canned and baked goods, crafts, produce and plants and this year members are requesting gently used purses and jewelry. For more information, call Sue Vandenberg at 715-757-2864 or Sandy DeGoey at 715-757-2077.
A community parade precedes the picnic. If interested in participating, call Paul Farley at 715-757-3922. Trophies will be awarded to the best floats.
