Marian L. Payette
Marian L. Payette, 80, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, July 9 at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
Born March 15, 1934 in Felch, to Alfred and Lillian (Maki) Isaacson, she was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Felch High School in 1952. She married Butch Payette on Sept. 15, 1961 and the couple, along with his brothers, owned and operated the C & R Bar in Aurora for many years.
A member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, she enjoyed the casino, playing cards and camping.
She is survived by her husband, Butch; a son, Tim Payette, of Aurora; a daughter, Lora (John) Aberle, of Niagara; a sister, Mabel (Jack) Marrow, of Iron Mountain; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16 from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral services at 5 p.m. at Erickson Rochon and Nash Funeral Home. Rev. Lee Liverance will officiate with burial in the Homestead Aurora Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Dickinson County Cancer Unit Loan Closet.
