Sports Exams To Aid Area School Districts
Prevea Oconto Health Center is now accepting appointments for physical examinations for athletes wanting to participate in a WIAA sport. Sports physicals are performed by Prevea Health providers and licensed athletic trainers.
We are examining everything from heart issues to musculoskeletal issues, said Mike LaMere, Prevea Sports Medicine Outreach Supervisor. We want to make sure athletes are healthy and ready to compete.
Prevea Oconto Health Center is located at 620 Smith Avenue in Oconto. Appointments can be made by calling (920) 834-4110.
Available appointments are Thursday, July 17 from 3 to 5 pm and Tuesday, July 22 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Sports physical examinations cost $20 and all proceeds will be donated to the athletic department of the school the athlete/patient plays for. In previous years, proceeds have benefited Oconto Elementary School, Oconto Middle School, Oconto High School, Oconto Falls High School, Washington Middle School, Lena Elementary School, Lena Middle School and Lena High School.
