THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Issue Date: July 24, 2014
Marion Ermenc, 91, of West Allis, passed away Thursday, July 17.
Born to Mary and Nicholas Stuckert, as a young girl with her strong faith in God and belief and support of science and the space program, she predicted that we would land on the moon! She married her soul mate, Frank L. Ermenc.
A lifelong volunteer, she was one of Wisconsin Electric 's war bond-selling Minute Maids, an active member of the West Milwaukee Garden Club and started recycling in Town of Stephenson in her retirement. The couple became clowns and presented a recycling play to Crivitz area schools and civic organizations. She was selected Woman of the Year twice, by Crivitz Woman 's Club. In Wabeno, she will be remembered as a talented florist, the force behind refurbishing Main Street as part of Beautify America and as their own Halloween witch.
She is survived by a son, Gerry; daughters, Kate (Greg Hall) and BJ; a brother, John Stuckert (Carmel); sisters-in-law, Peggy and Cindy Stuckert,; nieces; nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents and brothers, Nicholas and William Stuckert.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19 at Mitchell Manor Chapel, West Allis from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Bevsek-Verbick Funeral Home of Milwaukee assisted the family with arrangements.
