Mary E. (LaBrie) Parent, 93, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Tuesday, July 15 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born May 11, 1921 in Menominee to William and Obeline (Le Beouf) LaBrie, she graduated from Menominee High School and married Gerald Parent on Aug. 26, 1950 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Menominee. He preceded her in death in 1961.
A member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, she was a stay at home mom who loved being with her children and enjoyed doing yard work, planting and taking care of her flowers.
She is survived by two sons, Mark (Carrie) Parent and William Parent, both of Port Tobacco, Md. and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald; a half-sister, Obeline Kueter; a half-brother, Virgil Maloney and a great-grandchild, Seaven Jo.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18 from 8 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. at Cadieu-Thielen Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial for the repose of her soul followed at 9 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Fr. Ryan Ford presided with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.
