Dunbar Veterans Park Fundraiser
The Dunbar Veterans Park Committee announces their annual fundraiser will be held on Sunday, Aug. 10 from 11 AM to 6 PM. The event will be located at the Dunbar Veterans Park located at the corner of Highway 8 and County 0.
In an opening ceremony members of the Park Committee will present a $1000 check to Bobbie Sammie of Iron Mountain, whose late son, Eric, was killed in Iraq. In remembrance of her son, Sammie began a project called, Care Packages for Soldiers. The monetary donation from the Committee will help support the cause.
Other activities occurring throughout the day will include food and refreshments for purchase, kids games, tractor rides, raffles, and vendor booths. Major prizes will be available on a main raffle ticket. The drawing for the prizes will take place at 5:30 PM.
