Glen M. Christiansen
Glen Maurice Christiansen, 86, of Marinette, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 29.
Born in Milwaukee Feb. 22, 1928, to Martain and Mary (Johnson) Christiansen, he graduated from Menominee High School in1947 and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
A member of the American Legion Post 146 and Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, he worked at the former Ansul Company for over 35 years, retiring in 1986. An avid sports fan, he loved the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.
He is survived by a son, Wayne (Jeanette Jan) Christiansen, of Marinette; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Birch Creek on Friday, Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Fr. Jim Trempe officiated with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Military honors were conducted by the Military 20 Year Club. Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in his name and donations can be made to the Emergency Rescue Squad, Inc.
