Eldor M. Ostrenga
Eldor Mitchell Ostrenga, 81, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3 at a Green Bay hospital.
Born April 7, 1933 in Little Suamico, to Mitchell and Norma (Folkman) Ostrenga, after graduating from Oconto Falls High School, he entered the United States Army in communications. On Sept. 27, 1958, he married Zita Pac at St. Pius Catholic Church in Little Suamico.
A longtime member of St. Agnes Parish, since 1960, he was employed by Red Owl Warehouse for 38 years, retiring in 1989. After retirement, he worked as a Personal Assistant to George Kress. A quiet, gentle soul, he enjoyed gardening, especially roses, caring for birds and was passionate about "his" Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by his wife, Zita; a daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Kevin Beams, Green Bay; a granddaughter; a grandson; a brother and sister-in-law, Buz and Kathy Ostrenga, Howard; a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Ronald Sefcik, Little Suamico; two sisters-in-law, Isabelle Wojciechowski and Rita Pac; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Ostrenga; his parents, Mitchell and Norma Ostrenga; an infant brother, Mitchell; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leonard and S. Mary Pac; brothers-in-law, Joseph Pac and Ted Pac and a sister-in-law, Mary Bogal.
Friends may call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., Green Bay from 9:30 a.m. until time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7. Rev. Patrick C. Beno will officiate with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Little Suamico.
