THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
Wausaukee, Amberg, Crivitz, and surrounding areas will again be involved with Operation Christmas Child. The program sends out gift-filled shoeboxes around the world, bringing joy to millions of less fortunate children.
Families interested can prepare shoe boxes containing school supplies including crayons, notebooks, school boxes, scissors, glue sticks, etc.
Thousands of churches and community groups participated last year, as more than 9 million shoeboxes were delivered from a dozen countries to hurting children in over 100 countries worldwide.
Preparing a box as a family is also an effective way for children to relate to the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of other children worldwide.
This year the traditional red/green logo boxes will not be available to area centers. The public is asked to save shoeboxes available for the fall collection.
