Mary A. (Halama) Wenzel, 76, of Oconto, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7 at the Oconto Hospital.
Born July 19, 1938, to Victor and Virginia (Waite) Halama in Waukesha, she married Marvin Wenzel on Dec. 10, 1955 in Waukesha. The couple moved to Oconto shortly after their marriage.
She enjoyed canning, baking, feeding the birds and especially spending time with family.
Surviving are husband, Marvin; 10 children, Rick (Karen), Charles (Sarah), Jeff, Joy (Mike), Dianna (Al), Dwayne (Sandra), Tela (Scott), Carol (Dan), Mary (Tim) and Dawn (Dean); 38 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and four sisters, Jeanie, Rosie, Vicki and Kathy.
She was preceded in death by a son, Marlin; a step-son Butch; two grandsons, Travis and Joshua and a great-great-granddaughter, Paris.
Relatives and friends called at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto on Tuesday, Aug. 12 from 4 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 7 p.m., with Deacon Walt Kaszynski officiating.
