THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE
Joan Kapitz, 82, of Menominee, Mi., passed away Aug. 11 in Menasha after a long illness.
Daughter of Edward and Irene (Peterson) Kapitz, she worked at Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee for 35 years. After retirement, she moved to Menominee and then to the Fox Valley. She will be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Brad) Whitcomb; two sons, Jeffery Mayville and Timothy (Krissy) Brycki; two grandchildren; four great-grandsons; a sister, Terry; two brothers, Billy and Roger; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and James; two sisters, Marlene and Nancy; a grandson, Ryan Brycki and a daughter-in-law, Lynn Mayville.
A private service and burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Menominee. Wichmann Funeral Home Tri County Chapel of Menasha assisted the family.
