Elerine T. (Chaulklin) Lampinen, 86, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away Sunday, Aug. 10 at Roubal Care and Rehab Center.
Born Sept. 24, 1927 in Escanaba, Mi., to Roy and Alice (LaCasse) Chaulklin, she married Bill Lampinen on Nov. 7, 1949 in Chicago, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1991.
A homemaker, she enjoyed baking, gardening, reading, doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, but being with friends, family and especially her grandchildren, is what she enjoyed most. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Lois (Alfred) Clifton, of Cooks, Mi., Theres (Mike) Lee, of The Villages, Fla., Linda (Jeff) Freiberg, of Desert Springs, Ca., John Lampinen and Jim (Susan) Lampinen, both of Stephenson, Mi.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Ann; a brother and a sister.
Family will receive friends at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Thursday, Aug. 14 at 4 p.m. until time of a Prayer Service at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Precious Blood Catholic Church on Friday, Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. with Fr. Ronald Timock officiating. Burial will follow in Stephenson Township Cemetery.
