THE CITY REBORN FROM THE ASHES OF AMERICA'S MOST DISASTROUS FOREST FIRE

Peshtigo Times Editor:
I am writing to publicly thank Twin County Airport Manager Tony Krysiak and Airport Lineman Jeff LaFleur for their stellar service to the community and the airport. I was privileged to work with them during my 18 months on the airport commission.
Before joining the airport commission, my experience with the aviation industry was pretty much limited to brusque TSA agents and cramped coach seating.
But Tony and Jeff help this neophyte understand that there is much more to the aviation industry than most people realize.
Tony Krysiak is experienced and knowledgeable. He understands the aviation industry from the inside out and knows how to work effectively and efficiently with the myriad of rules and regulations that govern that sector. He is always willing to help someone else understand the industry, and always willing to help airport users. He is a good steward of airport and community resources.
Jeff LaFleur is one of the hardest working and most honest men Ive ever met. He is devoted to the airport and goes about his work with quiet efficiency. Because he has held the same job for more than two decades, he knows what is required of him and does it cheerfully. Jeff often goes above and beyond his job description to keep the airport in good shape.
Both men are detail-oriented and have at their mental fingertips an accurate history of the purchase, repair, replacement and recommended maintenance schedule for every item of airport property and the skills to keep the airport running at peak efficiency.
It was my pleasure to work with them, along with Nick Lakari and Ted Sauve, on the management of Twin County Airport. Along with Nancy Douglas of the Menominee Business Development Corporation, they have the best interests of the airport and community at heart and they understand the airports vital role in economic development.
