Fun, Entertainment, Rides At County Fair Aug. 21-25

If you are looking for a fun filled weekend with lots of entertainment, rides, displays, tractor pull, judging, truck and tractor pull, horse pull, lawnmowers pull, donkey races and good things to eat, the place to be is the Marinette County Fair at the Wausaukee Fairgrounds from Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 21-25.
Among the entertainment for young and old is the ever popular Kenny Ahern, a world class family entertainer who will appear all four days. Jared Sherlock, an award winning illusionist and comic magician with his infamous bullet catch and James Wedgwood whose show is simply The Most Fun You Can Have Without Moving Your Lips, will also appear.
Among other events are carnival rides which open at 1 p.m. Thursday with wristband night at 10 p.m. The rides are available all four days.
Coronation of the 4-H Royalty Queen is at 5:30 p.m. Thursday with a royal atmosphere.
There is judging for swine, beef, rabbits, sheep, goats and an opportunity for children and adults to view animals. The Youth Livestock Auction is at 7 p.m. Friday.
Horses will also be an attraction with a horse pleasure show at 9:30 a.m. Friday followed by a horse flag presentation at 12:30 p.m. On Saturday at 12:30 p.m. is a horse speed show. Sunday is horse fun day at 8 a.m. followed at 10 a.m. by a horse pull.
Raffles will also be sold throughout the fair. Drawing for the Fair Raffle is Sunday at 2 p.m. followed by drawing of the 4-H Raffle at 3 p.m.
The ever popular demolition derby will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday with crashes galore.
