Richard S. Zielski
Richard S. Zielski, 64, of Menominee, MI., passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at home, surrounded by family.
Born Feb. 18, 1950 in Milwaukee, to Stanley and Lorraine (Warner) Zielski, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from Nov. 1, 1968 until honorably discharged on Aug. 21, 1970.
He worked in maintenance at Caterpillar for many years and enjoyed cooking, playing cards, was an avid Milwaukee Brewer and San Francisco 49er's fan and enjoyed spending time with friends at Dino's Pine Knot.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy (Nick) Gwitt, of Menominee, Mi.; a son, John (Jennifer) Korich, of Waukesha; four grandchildren; a sister, Kim (Marge) Zielski, of Kenosha and close friends, Sue Demler, Jerry Brodzinski, Ed and Geri Powell and Ed Jr. and Brenda Powell, all of Menominee.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Zielski.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 21 at Anderson Kell Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until time of military rites at 5 p.m., followed by a funeral service.
