Dale L. Wright, 75, of Suamico and Amberg, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16.
Born May 26, 1939, to Clifford and Madeline (VanArk) Wright, he graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1958. He married the love of his life, Barbara Reynen on May 2, 1964, at Holy Cross Church. He worked for Gateway/Maislin Trucking, retiring from Yellow Freight 19 years ago and was a proud teamster.
He enjoyed long drives in the woods, finding the best berry spots for picking, fishing with his son and was a proud teamster. Every winter he went to Arkansas fishing and once was a part-time commercial fisherman, like his father.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Kristine Wright, Suamico, Alan Wright, Green Bay, Kim Wright and Kari Wright, both of Illinois; four grandchildren; three sisters, Rosalie (Jerry) Strebel, Roseann (Ken) Bosacki and Sharon (Glen) Jahnke; a sister-in-law, Nancy (George) Hoppa; many nieces; nephews; extended family; friends and special friends, Bob and Celeste Lom, from the lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Evelyn Reynen.
Friends may call at Annunciation Catholic Church, 401 Gray St., Green Bay, from 9 a.m. until time of a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, with Rev. Donald Everts officiating. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
