Richard L. Tessier
Richard Lee Tessier, 70, of Marinette, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, Aug. 29.
Born Jan. 22, 1944 in Marinette, to Peter and Mary (Posphaney) Tessier, he graduated from Menominee High School in 1964. On June 8, 1988 he married Judith Knuth in Marinette. He worked at the Peshtigo Times for 50 years as a printer.
His greatest enjoyment was playing in bands for over 40 years, with his favorite instrument, the bass guitar. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Judy; a daughter, Theresa (Scott) Saylor, of Marinette; two step-daughters, Teresa (Jeff) Rose, of Menominee and Lori Gilbert, of Marinette; a son, Richard (Karen) Tessier, Jr., of Marinette; two step-sons, Jerry Glibert, of Marinette and Lawrence (Brenda) Gilbert, of Reedsville; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a brother, Peter (Marlene) Tessier, of Milwaukee.
Family and friends may call at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 4 p.m. until time of a prayer service at 6 p.m. Pastor Paul Hueter will officiate with burial in Glenwood Memorial Gardens. A memorial fund will be established.
