Cougar Students Teach Faculty a Tough Lesson

Mr. Brady's Entrepreneurship class held the 9th annual Teachers vs. Students basketball game at Coleman Middle/High School on Friday, March 10. The teachers were down 19-7 following the first quarter against the juniors, and were down 23-17 at halftime after a second quarter by the freshmen class. The teachers made a strong push to start the third quarter against the sophomores, but the students battled back to end the 3rd up 33-30. The teachers were focused and made a strong push before running out of gas and the seniors ended up holding on in the 4th for a 60-55 win. Students playing in the game were: The losing teacher team this year was made up of Mr. Behnke, Mr. Brady, Mr. Bronson, Mr. Destiche, Mr. Engebregsten, Mr. Gould, Mr. Gruber, Mr. Gundlach, Mr. Kaufman, Mr. Markiewicz, Mr. McGough, and Mr. Tate. The game was very entertaining to both the students and teachers watching. The crowd was entertained with a halftime slam dunk contest between Gunnar Patz, Josh Pillath, Austin Seefeldt, and Austin Tachick, with Pillath winning and several hoop shoot competitions between quarters. The game was played to raise money for health/p.e. teacher Mr. Skrupky's health expenses, and $500 will be donated. Great job everybody!
