Mitchel J. Long, 53, of Stephenson, Mi., passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Kutha Adult Foster Care Home in Stephenson.
Born June 10, 1963 in Menominee, Mi., to Maurice and Marilyn (Kushman) Long, he graduated from Boswell School in 1989. He enjoyed being in Special Olympics, looking through magazines and car rides, but mostly loved swinging on the swing and watching T.V. shows like the Flintstones and game shows.
He loved his family, especially visits with them.
He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Long of Marinette; caregivers at Kutha AFC Home in Stephenson and Ihander AFC Home in Daggett and many relatives, cousins and friends from the foster homes.
He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice and a sister, Dr. Marci Long.
Friends gathered at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home in Stephenson on Friday, May 12 from 3 p.m. until time of a Memorial Service at 4 p.m. Pastor Luke Triebe of Central Baptist Church officiated with Entombment in Forest Home Mausoleum.
