Hazel Minnie Schmitt, 98, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017.
Born March 4, 1919 in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, Canada, to Roy and Grace (McRitchie) Fordham, she graduated from Waukesha High School in 1937. She had a pilot's license and drove a school bus in Wisconsin for about 40 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Fossum; granddaughters; a grandson; two great-granddaughters; three sisters, Inez Lang, Eunice Redman and Phyllis Rasmussen and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George; two children, Myron and Marsha; three brothers, Eugene, James and Lloyd Fordham and two sisters, Norma Land and Miriam Kelsey.
Graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo on Friday, Aug. 18 at 11:30 a.m. Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home of Peshtigo is assisting the family.
