Joyce (Bottkol) Malek, 76, of Porterfield, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 4, 2017 at Bay Area Medical Center.
Born Aug. 21, 1940 in Menominee, Mi., to the late Michael and Joyce (Olson) Bottkol, she was a cook at Rennes Health and Rehab Center-West for many years.
She enjoyed knitting for family members and friends, visiting the Casino and was an avid Packer fan, but mostly loved time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, James (Martha) Malek of Wausaukee and Paula Malek of Porterfield; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Judy Malek, Sue (Jerry) Anderson, Kathy (Wayne) Grinsteiner, Gary (Donna) Bottkol and Mike (Pam) Bottkol and a former daughter-in-law, Kathy (Jeff);
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; a son, Raymond; four sisters, Janise, Rita, Jean and Paula and two brothers, John and Jeff.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Thursday, Aug. 10 at Roubal Funeral Home in Wausaukee from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. Interment will be in the Winesville Cemetery in Porterfield at a later date. Donations can be made to The Rainbow House, 1530 Main Street, Marinette in her name.
