Manila "Glee" (Nelson) Lerret, 90, passed away Sunday, Aug.6, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care.
Born May 27, 1927 at her aunt, Minnie Simmons house in Stephenson, Mi., to the late George and Oral (Hanf) Nelson, she graduated from Stephenson High School in 1945 and worked at the Arrow Store and later at Sears in Marinette. She married Henry Lerret on March 5, 1950 in Menominee and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1995.
She was a member of St. Anne's and later Resurrection Parish in Menominee and St. Anne's Sodality.
She is survived by two sons, George Lerret of Rockford, Ill. and Joe (Ardis) Lerret of Menominee, Mi.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Bud Valentine of Chicago, Ill. and special nieces, Mary (Jim) Balfour, Collen Lerret, Mary Jo Blythe and Shelley (Nate) Hyde.
In addition to her parents and husband, Henry, she was preceded in death by her oldest son, Henry Lerret and two brothers-in-law, Cletus Lerret, and Loren (Kathleen) Lerret.
Per his wishes, no services will be held. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
